Florissant Releases “Reflections” EP With a Hometown Show at Lulu’s Downtown on Sept. 26
Colorado Springs bands Tradition and Strung Short join the bill alongside Denver’s Origami Summer. Allages. Doors at 7 p.m.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 21, 2026) Colorado Springs emo and punk band Florissant willcelebrate the release of its new EP, Reflections, with a live show at Lulu’s Downtown on Saturday, Sept.26. BandWagon Presents is producing the show, which puts a homegrown Colorado Springs bill on one of the city’s downtown stages.
Reflections is out now on vinyl and streaming platforms. The EP moves from emo and pop-punk tomelodic punk, post-hardcore, and alternative rock, a range the band describes as “a perpetual identity crisis in the best way possible.” Its lead video, “Hollowed Out,” was filmed in an abandoned pumphouse in Colorado Springs and features Donovan Lindsay of EverFlare. Florissant’s singles are in rotation on KBPI South 107.9. Vinyl copies will be on hand at the show.
Two more Colorado Springs bands fill out the night. Tradition (Caden O’Brien, Devin De Leon,Christopher Schmidt, and Tanner Bishop) released its album Dogwood in May and works across poppunk, post-hardcore, and shoegaze. Strung Short, self-described “Olympic City emo,” brings classicpop-punk in the vein of blink-182 and Alkaline Trio. Denver’s Origami Summer rounds out the lineup withwhat the band calls post-gaze emo-core and a live show known for piñatas.
